Recharge your Airtel prepaid number online

Quick Recharge does not ask you to create an account or sign in. You can go from a phone number to a plan list in about ten seconds, and you only need to identify yourself when you want a saved history of your recharges. The one thing worth double-checking is the number itself — a recharge sent to the wrong number is credited to that number by the operator and cannot be pulled back.

• Open Quick Recharge and type the 10-digit Airtel number. The operator and circle are detected automatically, so a number ported to Airtel from another network is still read correctly.
• Browse the pack list that loads. Tabs separate unlimited packs, data packs, talktime top-ups and the other categories Airtel publishes for that circle.
• Tap the pack you want and check the three things that matter: the validity, whether daily data is capped or pooled, and any bundled extras listed in the description.
• Confirm the number one last time on the review bar, then pay. Payment goes through the Bharat Connect (BBPS) rails.
• Keep the confirmation. Your Paybeez receipt carries a transaction reference, and Airtel separately sends its own activation SMS to the recharged number.

Airtel revises pack pricing, data allowances and bundled benefits regularly, and the same pack can carry different terms in Delhi than it does in Bihar & Jharkhand. For that reason we do not print a price table on this page — anything we typed here would be wrong within weeks. The list below is fetched from the operator feed at the moment you load it, for the specific circle your number belongs to.

If a pack you expected is missing, it usually means Airtel has withdrawn it in your circle or restricted it to specific users in the Airtel Thanks app. Availability and final benefits are always decided by Airtel, not by Paybeez.

Airtel's catalogue looks long, but almost every pack falls into one of six families. Knowing which family you are buying from prevents the single most common recharge mistake — paying for data when what actually expired was your validity.

• Unlimited packs: the workhorse. Bundles unlimited voice, a daily or pooled data allowance and SMS, and — this is the important part — carries the validity that keeps your number live. Airtel sells these in short cycles, monthly-ish cycles, quarterly-ish cycles and annual cycles.
• Data add-on packs (data boosters): extra data layered onto a running pack. They do not extend validity. On most add-ons the extra data is usable only for as long as your base pack is alive, so buying one on an expired number is money spent for nothing.
• Talktime top-ups: money credited to your main balance for calls, SMS or pay-as-you-go data outside a pack. Some top-up vouchers give full talktime and some deduct processing charges — Airtel states this on each voucher.
• Validity-only / incoming packs: low-cost packs aimed at second SIMs and dual-SIM users who only need the number to stay active and receive calls. Ideal for a backup number you never call from.
• Xstream and OTT bundles: Airtel packages Airtel Xstream Play (its aggregated streaming catalogue) with selected unlimited packs, and offers Xstream-focused add-ons separately. Some packs also include free Hellotunes. If you already pay a streaming service directly, an Xstream-bundled pack can quietly replace that subscription — or duplicate it, so check before you buy.
• International roaming packs: a separate family entirely. National roaming inside India is free, but travelling abroad needs a specific IR pack activated before you land.

Two Airtel users can open the same recharge page and see two different lists. That is not a bug — Indian telecom is licensed and priced by service area, and Airtel operates across all 22 of them with pack line-ups that differ by circle. It is worth understanding the three variables at play before you assume a plan has disappeared.

• Circle: your number belongs to the circle it was issued in, no matter where you physically are. A Kolkata number travelling in Bengaluru still recharges on Kolkata packs.
• 5G eligibility: Airtel markets its 5G service as Airtel 5G Plus. Access depends on a 5G-capable handset, 5G coverage where you are, and a pack that Airtel currently makes eligible for it — the eligibility rules are Airtel's and it changes them from time to time, so treat the pack description in the live list as the source of truth.
• Ported numbers: after MNP, the first digits of a number tell you nothing about the network. A number that looks like a Vi series can be firmly on Airtel. Automatic operator detection is there precisely so you do not have to guess.
• Segment offers: Airtel sometimes surfaces personalised packs only inside its own Thanks app. Those will not appear in any third-party list, including ours.

Pick the pack around your actual behaviour, not around the biggest number on the card. A quick honest audit — how much data you burned last month, whether you call more than you stream, whether you already pay for a streaming service — usually points straight at the right family.

• Heavy streaming on mobile: an unlimited pack with a generous daily data allowance, ideally one where Airtel bundles Xstream Play so you are not paying twice for content.
• Mostly Wi-Fi, phone is for calls: a smaller unlimited pack is almost always cheaper than a big pack you never exhaust. Daily data you do not use does not roll over.
• Second SIM or a number you only receive OTPs on: a validity-only or long-validity pack beats re-recharging a monthly plan you never touch.
• You run out of data mid-cycle every single month: do the arithmetic. Repeated data add-ons across a year often cost more than simply moving up one tier of base pack.
• You never want to think about it again: longer-cycle and annual packs generally lower your effective monthly cost and remove the risk of forgetting a renewal. Set a reminder anyway, a few days before expiry.
• One rule that saves the most grief: if your number has already lapsed into incoming-only, recharge an unlimited or validity pack first. A data booster will not bring the number back.

Recharges pass through several systems — your bank, Bharat Connect and Airtel's provisioning — so a small share end up 'pending' rather than instantly successful. Pending is not the same as failed. In most cases the operator confirms within a few minutes and the benefit lands on the number; occasionally the confirmation arrives later, and occasionally the transaction is reversed at the operator's end.

• First, check the recharged number for Airtel's own activation SMS and dial the balance-check on that handset. If the pack is active, the recharge worked even if a screen looked ambiguous.
• If the amount was debited and the pack is not active after a reasonable wait, do not recharge again immediately — you risk paying twice for the same pack.

• Failed and reversed transactions are refunded to the original payment method. The credit timeline after the reversal is initiated is set by your bank or card issuer, not by us.

• Recharge sent to a wrong number, or the wrong pack chosen by mistake, is a different situation from a technical failure — the operator has already delivered value to that number, so it is generally not reversible.
