Recharge your BSNL number — live vouchers for every circle
BSNL works differently from the private operators, and its recharge menu shows it: talktime vouchers, Special Tariff Vouchers and plan vouchers are still separate things, and what is available depends heavily on which telecom circle your number belongs to. Paybeez pulls the current BSNL voucher list for your number straight from the operator, so you are choosing from what is actually live today rather than from a screenshot someone published months ago. Enter the number, pick the voucher, pay on Bharat Connect rails, and keep the receipt.

How to recharge a BSNL number on Paybeez
The whole flow is built around one input: the 10-digit mobile number. You do not need an account to look up BSNL vouchers or to start a recharge — Quick Recharge is open to everyone, and signing in is only useful later, when you want your history and receipts kept in one place.
- Open Quick Recharge and type the 10-digit BSNL number. No login, no OTP just to browse.
- Paybeez detects the operator and circle from the number itself. If the number was ported into BSNL, detection uses a live lookup rather than the old number series — so ported numbers resolve correctly.
- Pick a category tab: talktime vouchers, data, Special Tariff Vouchers, plan vouchers. The tabs you see are the ones BSNL actually publishes for that circle.
- Tap the voucher to read its full description — validity, data allowance, call terms — before you commit to anything.
- Confirm and pay. The transaction runs on Bharat Connect (BBPS), and you get a transaction reference you can quote to anyone, including BSNL.
- Check the number: BSNL usually sends its own confirmation SMS separately from ours.
Live BSNL plans for your circle
BSNL revises vouchers circle by circle, and a pack that exists in Kerala may simply not be offered in Bihar or the North East. That is why this page does not print a price table — a stale table is worse than none. The browser below queries the operator for the number you enter and shows what is genuinely available right now, with denomination, validity and description exactly as BSNL publishes them.
If a voucher you remember is missing, it has usually been withdrawn or replaced in your circle rather than hidden. Look for the nearest equivalent in the same category, and read the description rather than matching on price alone.
BSNL's plan vocabulary: STV, PV, Top Up and Combo
Most operators have collapsed everything into one 'unlimited pack' shelf. BSNL has not, and understanding the four voucher families saves a lot of wasted money. The category names you see in the live list map directly onto BSNL's own terminology.
- Top Up Voucher (talktime): credits talktime to your main balance for pay-per-use calls. On BSNL a plain talktime voucher generally does not extend validity on its own — always check the description shown against the voucher.
- Full Talktime vs. standard talktime: on some denominations the talktime credited is less than the amount paid because of processing and tax deductions, while specific 'full talktime' vouchers credit the whole amount. BSNL states this per voucher; read the line rather than assuming.
- STV (Special Tariff Voucher): the workhorse. An STV buys a defined benefit for a defined period — voice, data, SMS, or a combination — without changing your underlying base tariff plan.
- Combo STV: voice plus data plus SMS in one voucher. This is the closest BSNL equivalent to the 'unlimited pack' the private operators sell.
- Data STV: data only, layered on top of whatever base plan and validity you already have. Useful if your validity is fine but you have run out of data mid-cycle.
- PV (Plan Voucher): actually changes your base tariff plan — the per-minute and per-MB rates that apply when no STV is active. You change plans rarely; you buy STVs often.
- Validity extension vouchers: BSNL still treats validity as its own commodity. If your number is heading toward expiry and you do not need data, a validity voucher can be the cheapest way to keep the number alive.
BSNL circles, coverage, and the MTNL exception
BSNL is the state-owned operator and runs across the whole country with one significant carve-out: Delhi and Mumbai are MTNL territory, not BSNL. If your number is a Delhi or Mumbai landline-era mobile connection, you may need to select MTNL rather than BSNL — the operator detection on Paybeez handles this for you, but it is worth knowing why the label changes.
Everywhere else, BSNL is organised into telecom circles (Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North East, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, UP East, UP West, Uttarakhand, West Bengal and Kolkata, among others). Pricing, validity and voucher availability are set per circle, which is exactly why the plan list on this page is keyed to your number.
BSNL's real strength is reach. In a lot of rural, hilly and border areas it is the network that works when others do not, and for many households it is the second SIM kept specifically for that reason — which usually means a long-validity voucher rather than a heavy monthly pack. BSNL's 4G rollout on an indigenous network stack is ongoing and coverage varies significantly by circle and by tower, so check what your own location actually gets before buying a large data voucher.
Choosing the right BSNL recharge
BSNL's separation of talktime and validity means the cheapest correct answer depends on how the number is actually used. A few honest rules of thumb:
- Number kept alive as a backup or for an elderly family member: prioritise validity. A long-validity STV or validity voucher usually costs far less per month than a monthly combo pack you will not use.
- Primary number, daily calls and data: a Combo STV is the right shelf. Compare on the description — how much data per day or per cycle, and whether SMS is included — not on the number alone.
- Data ran out but validity is intact: a Data STV is the correct add-on. Buying a full combo pack mid-cycle usually resets nothing useful and just overlaps what you already have.
- Occasional calls, little data: a talktime voucher plus a separate validity voucher is often cheaper than any combo pack. This is the combination BSNL still supports and the private operators largely do not.
- Before you buy, check what is already on the number. Dial *123# from the BSNL SIM for balance and validity (the exact USSD code can vary by circle), or use the BSNL self-care app.
- If the number is close to expiry, recharge before it lapses. Once validity ends, BSNL moves the number into a grace period and eventually reclaims it — recovering a lapsed number is far more painful than a timely voucher.
If a BSNL recharge fails, is pending, or the money is debited
A recharge is a two-step journey: your payment, then the operator crediting the number. Most 'failures' people report are actually the second step still in progress, and the great majority of those resolve themselves.
- Wait before retrying. A pending BSNL recharge normally settles within a few minutes; retrying immediately risks paying twice for the same benefit.
- Confirm on the number itself. BSNL sends its own SMS, and the balance or validity shown by *123# is the authoritative answer — not our screen and not the bank SMS.
- If money left your account and the recharge shows failed, the payment is reversed through the same rails it came in on. Bank and card reversal timelines are set by your bank, not by us.
- Keep the transaction reference. Every Paybeez transaction on Bharat Connect carries a reference ID, and it is the single most useful thing to have when raising a complaint anywhere.
- Contact us with that reference: helpline 8851461409 or support@paybeez.in. For an unresolved complaint, grievance@paybeez.in is the escalation address.
- Network-side problems — voucher credited but benefits not activating, tower or coverage issues — are BSNL's to fix. Their customer care (1503 from a BSNL mobile) can act on the connection in ways a payment platform cannot.
Why recharge BSNL on Paybeez
Paybeez is a Bharat Connect (BBPS) recharge and bill-payment platform operated by BILLWING ESOLUTIONS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED. That matters for a recharge because it means your transaction runs on regulated, interoperable rails with a standard reference and a standard complaint path, rather than through an unaccountable side channel.
- No login required to browse or start a BSNL recharge — Quick Recharge is deliberately open, because being made to create an account before you can even see a voucher is a bad experience.
- Live voucher data from the operator, per circle. We do not cache a price list and hope it still holds.
- A transaction reference and receipt for every payment, so there is always something concrete to quote if something needs chasing.
- Recharge any BSNL number, not just your own — parents, staff, a second SIM, a number in another circle. The circle is detected from the number, not from where you are standing.
- Paybeez Points may be credited on eligible transactions. Points are a non-monetary service credit usable inside Paybeez — they are not money, not a balance you can withdraw, and not a cashback promise.
- The Android app, 'Paybeez Recharge & Bill Pay', is live on Google Play if you would rather keep your recharges and receipts on your phone.
Frequently asked questions
Can I recharge a BSNL number without creating an account?
Yes. Quick Recharge on Paybeez lets you enter a 10-digit BSNL number, see the live vouchers for that circle and start a recharge without signing in. An account is only useful afterwards, if you want your transaction history and receipts saved in one place.
What is the difference between a BSNL STV and a talktime Top Up Voucher?
A Top Up Voucher credits talktime to your main balance for pay-per-use calls, and on BSNL it generally does not extend your validity by itself. An STV (Special Tariff Voucher) buys a specific benefit — voice, data, SMS or a combination — for a fixed period, and is what most people actually mean when they say 'pack'. If you want the number to stay active, you need an STV, plan voucher or validity voucher rather than talktime alone.
Why are the BSNL plans I see different from what my friend in another state sees?
Because BSNL prices and publishes vouchers per telecom circle. A voucher live in Kerala may not exist in Bihar, and the same denomination can carry different validity in different circles. The plan list on this page is fetched for the specific number you enter, so it reflects that number's circle rather than a national average.
My number is in Delhi or Mumbai — is that BSNL or MTNL?
Delhi and Mumbai are served by MTNL, not BSNL. They are separate operators with separate voucher catalogues, even though people often say 'BSNL' for both. Enter the number and Paybeez will detect which one it actually is, then show the right vouchers.
How long does a BSNL recharge take to show up?
Usually within a minute or two. The payment and the operator credit are two separate steps, so there can be a short gap where the payment is done but BSNL has not sent its confirmation SMS yet. Check the balance and validity on the number itself before assuming anything failed, and do not retry immediately.
Money was deducted but my BSNL recharge failed. What happens now?
A failed recharge is reversed through the same channel the payment came from, on your bank's timeline rather than ours. Keep the Paybeez transaction reference from your receipt and contact us on 8851461409 or support@paybeez.in with it; if the matter stays unresolved, escalate to grievance@paybeez.in. Refunds are handled as set out in our refund policy.
Will a data-only STV extend my BSNL validity?
Usually not. A Data STV adds data on top of the validity you already have; it does not normally push the expiry date out. If your validity is running low, look for a combo STV, a plan voucher or a dedicated validity voucher instead. The description shown against each voucher in the live list is the reliable source — read it before paying.
Do I get cashback or a discount for recharging BSNL on Paybeez?
We do not promise cashback or discounts. You pay the operator's voucher amount. Eligible transactions may earn Paybeez Points, which are a non-monetary service credit inside Paybeez — not money, not withdrawable, and not a guaranteed reward on every recharge.
